Representative Nancy Pelosi
450 Golden Gate Avenue, 14th FloorSan Francisco, CA 94102-3460
Dear Representative Nancy Pelosi,
I am here to bring to your attention a matter with utmost importance. The Iraq war has been going on for too long, and we need it to stop. I believe that one of the only ways to do this is to stop President Bush. He has too much power and needs to be stopped. If we [the people] cannot stop him, maybe you can. I believe that you can make a difference.
Terrorism and Bush have made great friends. But, maybe he was right. Maybe there are Weapons of Mass Destruction but were not finding them. If there were WMD’s, then we wouldn’t be the greatest superpower on this planet, I don’t know if we’re the greatest superpower right now! We are in billions on dollars in debt and people are dying in Iraq everyday. If this was the greatest superpower, I can’t even imagine how the other countries must be like.
I do not understand why Bush has thought more about Iraq than about American citizens. Does he not know that the debt of the U.S is $8,903,401,293,023.36 and counting? Can you imagine, how much money we could save in the war was stopped? I cannot believe that even things like this quote can stop Bush- Quoting from the Democratic Party’s website: “Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill, which provides funding for the troops along with a strategy for getting them out of a bloody civil war…vetoed the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill… President Bush has failed the country...” (http://www.democrats.org/a/2007/05/bush_chooses_to_1.php)
Consequently, many people think that Bush’s power is comparable to that of Hitler in the massacre of the Jews. Even Congressman Keith Ellison said in his human rights speech, "It's almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that. After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it and it put the leader of that country [Hitler] in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted. The fact is that I'm not saying [Sept. 11] was a [U.S.] plan, or anything like that because, you know, that's how they put you in the nut-ball box -- dismiss you." It’s surprising that even a congressman can say that Bush has more power than he should. Even on News Radio 950, they say that the food prices are going to go up, due to inflation. The value of the dollar is going down because of all the money Bush is spending in Iraq. Because of him, we all have to pay more money for food.
In conclusion, I believe that terrorism and Bush could possibly be one of the worst things together in modern history. He has too much power, and someone needs to control it. I am not saying all of this for your benefit or my benefit. I want the citizen’s benefit- the people of the United States are the ones who are suffering most from the war. So I am asking you, please consider giving a speech or writing a letter and taking some sort action against Bush. You are probably the only person who can. The faster Bush gets impeached, the slower we will lose money. By any means necessary, these extremists need to be stopped; the terrorists, and Bush. I would like to thank you for your time.
